Today, State Rep and now candidate for State Senate Sam Yingling announced that he has voted in favor of HB1462. The measure creates a board which will advocate for reducing the cost of prescription drugs.
Yingling said, “No one should choose between putting food on the table and being able to afford prescription drugs! I voted yes to HB 1462, protecting consumers from unreasonably high prescription drug costs.”
While a step in the right direction, the bill does not specifically lower the cost of drugs and will not actually protect consumers for high drug prices. The bill creates a board.
